Wedding & Event Planner | Website Design + Branding

Everything about the business said luxury except the website.

A decade in, Krystina Lynn was planning Michigan's high-end weddings on a site built for a much earlier version of her business. Here's how we rebuilt it around how luxury couples actually choose a planner.

Krystina's business had changed a lot in ten years. Her website hadn't changed with it.

She was planning increasingly sophisticated weddings for couples with real budgets and specific taste, but her site still looked like it belonged to a planner in an earlier stage of business. For a decision as personal and expensive as a wedding, that mismatch costs more than credibility. Couples shopping at the high end use a planner's website to decide whether she's in their tier before they ever reach out. If the site reads a level below the work, the inquiry never happens, and there's no way to know what was lost.

The goal wasn't a refresh. It was to make the website say the same thing about her business that her weddings already did.

I started with one question: how does a couple decide a planner is in their league?

They don't read about it. They infer it - from photography, from typography, from how much the site explains versus how much it assumes. Luxury signals price without stating it, and a website that works too hard to convince is itself a signal. Everything below follows from that.

Signal the tier before the pitch. The visual identity was rebuilt alongside the site, because the old one was setting a price expectation a level below her actual work. Refined type, restrained color, and a slower, more spacious layout, the visual vocabulary couples already associate with high-end weddings.

Curate instead of showcase. A hundred-plus weddings is a lot of work to choose from, and showing all of it dilutes the message. The portfolio was cut down to the weddings that represent the tier she wants more of, with the award and the decade of experience surfaced early as proof rather than buried on an About page.

Make inquiring feel like the natural next step. A simplified inquiry process, a clear path from any page, and messaging written to make a couple feel understood rather than sold to. At this price point, the goal isn't to capture every visitor, it's to make the right ones confident enough to start a conversation.

The result is a site that does the qualifying work before Krystina ever gets on a call.

The impact

For a service where the buying decision is emotional and expensive, the website isn't a marketing asset, it's the first meeting.

The clearest signal is that visitors stay. Couples arriving from search engage with the site at a rate well above the benchmark for service businesses, which for a portfolio-driven site means they're doing what you'd want: moving through the galleries, reading the packages, building a picture of what working with her would be like.

That's the qualifying work happening before Krystina spends a minute on a call. By the time a couple inquires, they've already decided she's the caliber of planner they're looking for, and priced accordingly.

Rather than simply looking more current, the site now sets the same expectation her weddings do.

"When it came time to re-brand Krystina Lynn Wedding and Event Design, we knew we needed to find someone that not only understood what we were doing at the moment, but also where we were going in the future. That person was Amye. She understood the over all vision and what our clients look for when booking their wedding or special event. We love our new logo and other design work she has done for us. Professional, honest, and easy to work with! I highly recommend Liquia Design, LLC."

Why it works

Luxury clients make emotional decisions before they make practical ones. Every choice on this site was made in that order.

Nothing has to state the price tier. No "luxury," no "premium," no "high-end" - the restraint in the type, the pacing of the layout, and the quality of the photography carry it instead. Saying it outright signals the opposite of what it claims.

Fewer weddings, better ones. The portfolio shows the work that represents where the business is headed, not everything it's ever done. A curated gallery reads as selective; a comprehensive one reads as available.

Proof arrives before persuasion. The award and the decade of experience appear early, where they do the convincing quietly, rather than sitting on an About page a couple may never reach.

Inquiring feels low-stakes. For a purchase this personal, the first contact has to feel like a conversation rather than a commitment. The inquiry path is short, clear, and reachable from anywhere on the site.
