Residential Assisted Living | Website Design + Ongoing SEO
No reviews. No history. No way to be found.
Anchored Heart was a brand-new assisted living home in a business built on reputation. Here's how we built a site around how families actually search for senior care to establish trust, credibility, and visibility.

Anchored Heart opened as a brand-new residential assisted living home with no website, no reviews, and no reputation anyone could look up.
That's a difficult place to start in any industry. In senior care it's harder, because of how the decision actually unfolds. Most families aren't choosing in a hurry. They're caring for a parent at home, managing more each month, and quietly starting to look, long before anyone is ready to act. That research happens over months, sometimes years, in the evenings, one search at a time. A home has to be findable across that entire stretch, not just at the end of it.
There was a second problem underneath it. Many families don't know that residential assisted living exists. They picture the large facilities they've driven past, and they search using words that describe a category Anchored Heart doesn't belong to. A six-bedroom home in the countryside - high staff-to-resident ratio, all-inclusive pricing, family-style meals - is often exactly what a family wants, and often not something they know to look for.
And the families who'd choose it aren't concentrated in one town. They're spread across Genesee, Oakland, and Lapeer counties, searching by the community they live in.
So the site had two jobs from the start: help families find a home they may not know to search for, and give them enough confidence to reach out before they're ready to decide.

Phase one: give a new business something to be judged on.
A home with no reviews and no history has to earn trust some other way. So the first site was built to show rather than claim - the actual house, the actual rooms, the actual people. Joe and Jamie's faces and their decades of nursing experience up front, because families are choosing who will care for their parent, not what company will. Amenities described in plain terms. Pricing structure stated openly, since cost is the question everyone has and almost nobody asks first.
Phase two: make the home findable where families are actually searching.
Two years in, the business had proven itself and the site needed to do more than represent it. The revamp
rebuilt the structure around how families search:
A page for every community, because that's how people search. Someone in Fenton doesn't search for assisted living in Goodrich, they search for Fenton. Genuine location pages for Goodrich, Grand Blanc, Davison, Fenton, and the surrounding counties mean the home can be found by families across a wide area, each in their own words.
Content for the part of the journey that comes before the decision. The Navigating Senior Care section and a searchable FAQ exist for the family who's a year out and just starting to read. That's not traffic for its own sake, it's how a small home stays present through a long, quiet decision that happens mostly in the evenings.
A technical foundation built to be expanded on. Schema, site structure, and local signals set up properly the first time, so growth doesn't require going back to fix the basics.
The result is a home that stays findable through the whole decision, not just the moment someone is finally ready to make it.
The impact
Anchored Heart is opening a second home.
A business with no reviews and no history now turns up for families searching across Genesee, Oakland, and Lapeer counties - in the words they actually use, at whatever point in the decision they've reached. Some are a year out and just starting to read. Some are ready to tour next week. The site is built to be useful to both.
The structure has held up through all of it. New communities, new content, and now a second location have meant extending the site rather than rebuilding it, which is exactly what the foundation work was for.
So the current phase is about growth - expanding into new communities, building out the resources and content that families actually search for, and staying visible through a decision that takes most of them months to make.
"Working with Amye has been a pleasure from day one for our business, Anchored Heart Assisted Living. Her communication is excellent, and she consistently makes sure every detail is handled professionally."

Why it works
Most families researching senior care aren't looking for a business. They're trying to work out whether they're doing the right thing. The site was built for that, not for the transaction at the end of it.
Found the way families actually search. Nobody types "residential assisted living, Genesee County." Instead, they're searching for things like "assisted living near me". A real page for each community is what turns a single home in Goodrich into an option for a family in Fenton who'd otherwise never have seen it.
Useful long before anyone is ready. The resources and FAQ exist for the family that's a year out and just beginning to read. Being helpful during that stretch is what makes a home the one they come back to, and there's no way to buy that position later.
People, not facilities. Families are choosing who will care for their parent. Putting Joe and Jamie, their experience, and the actual house in front of visitors does more for trust than any amount of description.
Answers where the questions are. Cost, care levels, what daily life is like - the things families worry about but hesitate to ask on a first call. Answering them plainly on the site removes the friction that keeps people from reaching out at all.
Built to grow into. New communities, new content, a second home. The structure absorbs all of it, which is the difference between a site you invest in and one you replace.
